Trauma Balm

                                         Trauma balm is an exclusive formula comprised of Chinese herbs,
traditional Western herbs, and organic therapeutic essential oils in a base that is easily worked
into soft tissue injuries. Formulated according to TCM theory of traumatology, this balm
effectively penetrates soft tissue to move qi and blood, dispel stasis, alleviate pain, and promote
healing to sinews and bone. It is highly effective at helping to alleviate pain due to overwork of
muscle, impact trauma, chronic arthritic complaints, strain, and sprain. Trauma balm is
essential to any massage practice and is excellent as a conjunctive therapy for patients to apply

Shiunko

Shiunko is a classic Japanese salve made from Chinese herbs and sesame oil. My version of
Shiunko modifies the classical formula ever so slightly to create a more dynamic medicinal with
stronger effects. This is my first aid balm and should be on hand in any practitioner’s office or
household. It is essential for direct moxibustion therapy. Shiunko is very effective at treating
symptoms associated with burns, eczema, psoriasis, cuts and scrapes, chapped and dry skin,
frostbite, and abnormal skin growth. Current research on the herbs in Shiunko has shown it to
be more effective than iodine in prevention of infection of minor cuts and scrapes while its
flesh regenerative properties help wounds heal faster (Am J Chin Med. 2004; 32(3):396 (ISSN:
0192-415-X). This works as an excellent companion to the first aid wash (below). For

Injured Tendons Liniment
Injured tendons liniment is a Dit-Da Jiu (hit-fall wine) which is a very powerful acute injury
medicinal intended for early stage traumas to muscles and tendons that present with significant
pain and swelling. Injured tendons liniment is the medicinal of choice for trainers, athletes,
coaches, martial artists, and all active people when presented with acute and painful injury to
joints and soft tissue. For external use only.

Acute Trauma Liniment
Acute trauma liniment is a balanced medicinal that is generally cooling and is intended for use
on acute trauma including bumps, bruises, falls, and minor sprains and strains. It is effective
at reducing swelling, stopping bleeding, and alleviating pain for many minor injuries. This is an
excellent general purpose first aid liniment and should be on hand in any clinic or household.

Chronic Injury Liniment
Chronic injury liniment is a Dit-Da Jiu (hit-fall wine). It is a warming formula intended for use
on chronic, non healing musculo-skeletal pains that are aggravated by overuse and exposure to
the elements. Chronic injury liniment is extremely effective for use on osteoarthritis, post-
surgical traumas, and pre-event warm-up for athletes. This formula is rich in Chinese herbs
and is in an ethyl alcohol base. For external use only.

First Aid Wash
First aid wash is an antiseptic liniment that contains powerful Chinese herbs that help stop
bleeding, prevent infection, regenerate flesh, and promote quickened wound healing. This
liniment is recommended for minor cuts and scrapes, abrasions, and any minor traumas
including bruises and sprains. This is the other half of a two part wound care system which
